Tasked with creating an event reflective of the energized host city, our CORT Events team was inspired by downtown Orlando to throw the ultimate VIP event. Playing off an urban tropical jungle theme, we artfully combined the wild, tropical nature of Florida with the sophistication of Orlando’s growing downtown metropolis. Check out this video of the event.
Hosted at the Varsity Club at Camping World Stadium, CORT Events transformed a blank canvas into a hip urban jungle environment and highlighted the diversity of Orlando. Florida is known for its tropical climate, palm trees and exciting attractions, but it’s so much more than just the local amusement parks. We wanted the event to reflect its cool, casual effervescent energy. We literally brought the outdoors inside with faux greenery, floral and neon palm trees.

An owner and designer of an events company spoke to how Florida’s unique identity allowed for colorful inspiration as they turned the spirit of Orlando into a one-of-a-kind event. He noted that it brought a new kind of energy to downtown Orlando, incorporating lots of printed tropical elements and modern pieces with eclectic mixes. He also said that the all-new CORT pieces used for this venue were on trend, funky and played with a lot of different textures. The team combined different styles of furnishings, like the modern Island double sofa with the classical Napoleon collection to surprising and successful effect.
Clients always come to us with an idea for an event. We take that inspiration and, through design consultation as well as 2-D and 3-D space planning, create environments that will realize that design vision, no matter the space or venue. This VIP Event showcased the ways CORT can create special and unique events for clients that go far beyond their expectations.

While meticulous design is imperative, the execution can make or break an event. Byron Loper, regional sales manager in the Southeast region, has been working on CORT’s event planning team for years. He said, “We have a very experienced team with us that’s been in the industry for a very long time, so ultimately they are able to best serve our clients and give them that perfect customer experience.”
To make an event as successful as our Orlando VIP event, start with inspiration that’s relatable, find quality products with trusted vendors and know your audience. Understand your client and bring their aesthetic into the theme in a way that speaks to their brand. Finally, prioritize customer service, listen to your client and don’t be afraid to take chances with the décor by mixing current trends with past styles to make something fresh and exciting.
